Downline Ethiopia Launches

On September 17, 2022, the International Evangelical Church launched Downline Ethiopia, a nine-month Discipleship Training Class aimed at equipping individuals to dive deep into God’s Word and become passionate disciple-makers. Coordinated by Weston Downing (who moved to Ethiopia from Memphis), the program focuses on biblical discipleship within the local church.

With nearly 50 students enrolled in its first year, Downline Ethiopia combines teaching books of the Bible with practical discipleship training. Students engage with Scripture, learn to lead and disciple others, and apply their training in real-world settings. The program emphasizes the local church, encouraging students to serve, lead, and impact their communities.

Looking ahead, Downline Ethiopia is set to expand, building a lasting legacy of trained disciple-makers committed to restoring biblical discipleship through the local church.
